Well, things can change fast in the wonderful world of good fortune.
It is not a done deal any longer. As soon as I hit "enter" on my keyboard to make my last post praising them, the phone rang, you guessed it, it was The Godard Company. They have had a change of heart once again.
They will send me a letter explaining the situation to my customer, they will also let my customer pick a different print, they will sell me the print at their cost. Myself, I think that is generous of them, considering that they are not obligated to do anything at all.
The one thing they said they can not do, is let me have a copy of the print in question.
Apparently there is an ongoing investigation at the printers as they attempt to get to the bottom of this. The print itself is a protected edition and they can not let me have one, at all. I pleaded with them to reconsider, and I hope they will. Once again, it's another cliff hanger, yet I can not blame The Godard Company.
I was the one who screwed up the print in the first place, not them. They really have been great in their attempts to help me through this, and I do appreciate it.
