The art was purchased in Prague, and brought home unopened in a tube.

When my clients came in the store and opened the tube for the first time they were very surprised to find that it was printed in two separate pieces; a top half and a bottom half.

It was "fun" splicing the two halves, before mounting it to 3/16" gator, and applying a canvas texture over-lamination. It has a hand-wrapped linen liner, and LJ Marais gold moulding.

This is a large piece of art, with overall dimensions of approximately 31" x 78".

That was one of the reasons for using a texture laminate. I got a perfect pattern match when splicing the two halves, which in of itself was not easy given the size and the fact that the two halves were printed slightly offset from one another. The texture definitely helps, it looks good from a distance, but close up you can see what it is. I guess it makes for a topic of conversation.
