Ok, here is a weird question.

I am home and am planning on building a little wire caddy before tuesday.

Can anyone tell me how wide, how tall and how big is the hole in the middle of a roll of softstrand?

Thanks for the info.

Bob

Bob, we gang our rolls on a 1/2" galvanized pipe that runs from leg to leg under the end of the table.....

So I'm going to say the hole is 1" the width of the rolls are about 3" or 3-1/2" thick and the diameter of the wheel is about 4".

But I'm home and the second round was stronger than the first three, combined with the paint fumes...

I built a trough out of a 1x6 and 2 1x3's. Just drop the spools into the trough and guide the wire out a hole in the bottom. Guaranteed to never get tangled around a rod. When you stop pulling the wire out, the spools stop turning. Leave room left and right for the spools to travel a bit. Very easy to replace a spool. If I were to do it again, I would use UHMW plastic instead of wood. Verry slippery stuf, UHMW (Stands for Ultra High Molecular Weight)

Thank you, heading off to the workshop now.

Bob
