I read a post a while back about using hot glue for joining polystyrene instead of using that really awful smelly glue (a mixture of: tetrahydroforan, Methyl Ethyl Keton, Ceyclohexanone, PVC Resin, CPVC Resin, Amorphous Silica and Acetone) that causes brain damage!
Well, I tried the hot glue I have at home, but it set too fast. Then I found some slow setting hot glue sticks at Home Depot! Still sets pretty quick, but works great. I needed something that set fairly quick, but gave me enough time to get the corner lined up. I'm making 70 frames that are 4 1/2 feet by 2 1/2 feet....... when using the poly smelly yucchy glue stuff, it didn't set fast enough and when I moved the frame around, it would come apart.
At any rate, this posting is just an FYI for anyone that the slow setting glue sticks work great!
