Our Wizard uses slip sheets. We have been using "flawed board" from local distributors. Flawed board is damaged mats. However, the widespread use of CMC's seems to have diminished the supply of flawed board and the local distributors are all out.

What do others use?

Thanks,
Karl.

I fortunately have several hundred sheets of paper mat boards left from when I sold these but when they are gone I'll just buy a few sheets as I need them.

They are pretty cheap and for as often as I need to change my slip boards it's not a big expense.

Try using the crescent S mount board. comes in 32x40 & 40x60

Jim at the Framer's Gallery in Auburn, MA bought 500 sheets of flaw board a while ago and I bought 100 sheets from him. He probably has some left he'd like to sell?

Also, the distributors in our area all acquired their own CMCs, shich is why there is no flaw board. Hmmm, why are so many going into the mat cutting business?

We are using Berkshire paper mat from Larson, a more expensive solution than I would like but we can't find another option.

we use crescent paper mat 8918 (40x60 ) white which we get in 25 pack relatively cheap..and they seem to last quite well on the CMC if you keep the blade debth adjusted.

I always use flaw board. There are 3 local suppliers for me here. Larson, South Mountain, and CMI. Between the 3 I have never had any issues of no flaw board being available.

Flaw board can be a carp shoot sometimes. One shipment I got in was a heavily textured fake fabric board. This did not work well for an underlayment. Now I use Berkshire board. From my supplier it is cheaper then what they sell flaw board for. WIN WIN

Ditto. Cheap and easy.

By flipping the board around and spinning it around, you get about 4x the useful life out of the board.

we do that with the 8918 cresent..get a good 2-4 weeks worth of use from each sheet by flipping and rotating.....we just can't get flawboard here for some reason.

Berkshire 222 smooth white or 221 smooth black. I keep full boxes of them around all the time since the college students buy quite a few of them. Many vendors only carry a limited number of colors in berkshire but these are 2 they all have.
