Baer Charlton
SPFG, Supreme Picture Framing God
OK, I find myself in a really strange place right now.
We (Americana Frame) every year have a customer that comes
in on Dec 22-23.. and brings 26-34 pictures. It is the family's year
boiled down. We have been doing them for 29 years..... and we
have never even thought of taking a photo.
The customer has promised every year to take a bunch of photos
of them as they climb the stairs to the second floor, line both
hallways, and are the "wall paper" of the den.
We have no photos.
We have done very similar projects of many opening mats....
We have no photos.
On the 29th, I'll be giving a lecture about "Telling a Better Story",
in Edmonton, AB Canada.
What I don't have . . . in the over 438,000+ images in my main
PC.... nor the 783,000 images on my portable, and 500K+
on the two gold archival DVDs.....
Funny, I don't personally have that kind of frame job in our house either.
If you have a high-res picture or three you could let me use
(only for the lecture... and I will be more than happy to logo
stamp it for you..)
PM me and we'll work out how to send it/them.
I thank you, and other framers will thank you too for sharing
your ideas and framing.
Oh, and if you think ours were some kind of special.... don't
-- always the same Nielson, silver, color of single rag mat
changes..... mostly rectangle openings, some circles, or ovals . .
boring, but 28-34 pictures in the same sized 24-30 frame.
"Keep it simple... there are more to come."
The story is the family - - and the year - - Christmas to Christmas.
