Nothing too elaborate here, but I thought this combination of frame, double mat, and single gold inkline worked nicely with this charming photograph.

Rick, welcome to joy of sharing your designs. Remember that the October framing contest is for Photography Framing. Entries need to be submitted by the end of September.

Simple, yet very elegant. The gold inkline is perfect. Did you use a gold pen or a ruling pen with gold ink?

That's a lovely treatment, Rick. You chose the perfect mat colors, and they are just the right values to allow the photo to glow. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Thank you for the nice comments. For inklines, I use a ruling pen from an old German drafting tool set. (It's a great pen but I wish the blades were a little wider to hold more ink. I've had to get good at stopping and restarting to continue long lines.) The "ink" is Winsor-Newton gold metallic tube goache, thinned with a little distilled water to the consistency of half-and-half creamer.
