I just had a lady that need a baseball shirt framed in less then 24 hours. I had to turn her down as I felt I needed more time to do it right.

Anyone have ideas on ways to have taken this order and mounted this shirt fast and safe?

Price was also a problem.

You did the right thing here, if you haven't the time to do the job right don't do it at all. Maybe simply hanging the shirt on a hanger and not fixing it down would have been enough for the initial display then the customer could bring back the job later to be done properly?
 
I usually tack the shirt down to a sheet of acid free matboard with a clear nylon thread. I then use either glass or plexi (depending on size and spacers to keep the glazing off the shirt

It's always a tough call when this happens, but under the circumstances, it was the correct call.
