If anyone has time can you look up Craig's List Seattle listing 1467230298 and tell me what you think? Also what kind of questions should I be asking the seller? I'm sorta a newby especially about equipment.

agree...don't need the left support arm...we use two roller stands from sears...one about 8 ft from the left end and one about 30".....the settup works wonderful.

What is the right price? Seller wants $600 OBO. I can go PU myself which saves a lot of hassle and cost. It's a big investment for me so I'd hate to have a lemon experience.

We bought our Jyden used in about 1974. Just chopped 100 framed on it this week. They are virtually indestructable.
Only question I would ask is if the spare blades are original manufacturer. Those look like the old styrofoam chopper blade cases I used to have.
I think we paid about $700.00 for ours but it came with 4 sets of blades, and it was 35 years ago.
A little TLC and you have a precision lifetime mitering machine.
Now, if you are going to be cutting a bunch of frames with compo finishes, you might want to get a saw, but for solid wood moulding these tools are great.

Another thing...with the serial number you can find out when it was manufactured so you might get a feel for the potential wear to the surfaces.

Your 5 by 5 frames are gonna put your fingers really close to the blades. I see no plastic guard, but then I don't use mine! It's only a piece of safety equipment.... And I'd rather have my finger next to a chopper blade than next to a spinning chop saw blade, especially as close as you're gonna get to those blades.

$600 is cheap for a chopper. And don't forget to start putting away money for the v-nailer. You'll be so happy when you get that piece of equipment! Chopper first then v-nailer. And if you had jumped on it the link that janet had posted had both for a couple of hundred more than you're paying.

I don't have the left support arm! Just get a $25 roller support from HomeDepot.

Is the price right?

Ditto on everything Bob said!

Yeah I worried about the size of my frames too. Although I might have misspoken the measurement... it's actually the window that is 5X5, the actual frames are more like 8X8. Still pretty close to the spinning saw blade! Add insult to injury the saw I was begrudingly using siezed up and died. It was used, but still! I'm just really hoping for a better result from this piece of equipment. I'm a little gunshy so to speak.

And not all choppers chop well...blade sharpness and adjustments will factor.
