I use the Thumbnail Master Joiner for most of the frames we put out. Has anyone had luck having the bit sharpened? They cost $80 each, so it'd be nice if I could have two and just switch them out to be sharpened. I'm just afraid that each time it's sharpened the groove it routs will get smaller, till the plastic inserts don't fit.

MY framer buddy Terry Way formerly of Raven Frames here in Eugene OR used the triangular bits used for the Hoffman wedges (which are stronger than the Thumbnail ones) He says they're readily available and work just fine.

Thanks! I've actually got a sample here of the Hoffman wedges they sent. I'm thinking of changing to Hoffman as they work in a narrower frame than the Thumbnail ones do. Unfortunately, I've just restocked all my thumbnail inserts....
