Does anyone know where I can find min 1" deep shadowboxes? I am looking for just a flat profile, 3/4 - 1" wide in a dark or navy blue.

Thanks,
Tamby

If you don't have any luck finding what you are looking for, email me, I can easily tell you how to make your shadowbox moulding from supplies that are locally available at your local home repair store. Our big ones here in the states include Home Depot and Lowe's but any of that type of store will have clear wood in "one by" lumber. You may have to size your boards but, with a little pre-planning and an idea of the dimensioning of lumber, you can cut and finish your shadowbox moulding with nothing more than a good quality table saw.

And, chances are if you know how to shop with grain selection in mind, you will have a frame that will stay straighter than much of the imported mouldings available on the framing market today.

Thanks Tom, I have moulding the size needed. My problem is actually with the finishing (lack of experience) and lack of proper space and ventilation.
Each time I use paints or stains, I lose my help for at least a week due to severe chemical intolerances. TC and LJ both have mouldings in the colour just not the depth so I am hoping that maybe someone will have the deeper moulding.
Possibly even the US LJ...since there are some mouldings they just don't stock in Canada...
The TC moulding is 310-125 and the LJ is 140640....customer doesn't like the look of them stacked or I would just go that route... :(

You can use two mouldings to create a shadow box. For instance Studio 26959 with 22059 flipped on it's back and cut to fit around the first moulding results in a 1 5/8" deep frame. I suspect your client will not like that look however.

If you want paints that will not chase the help out, maybe milk paint.
