Way cool Jerry. What function is the fiber optics serving. Is it a lighting function or part of the chemistry.

That is the older version that I was not involved with. It is LED lighting to light up the encased art.

I designed and engineered the new version.

I have a friend who was the Asst. Curator of American Art at the Detroit Institute of Art who saw the samples Friday at the shop while he dropped of a print for me to frame. He is now the asst director of Museum of the City of New York. All he could say was all of the paper art and textiles he can now display in a protected environment. He was very positive with the product.

The poster for the new version is via the Flickr link above.
It will be made at first in ready made sizes - 8x10 8.5x11 11x14 (injected molded in clear, black, white) with OP2 face glazing. The kit will include the enclosure, face glazing, seal, argon and a simple hand operated vacuum pump. Enclosures up to 8' x 12' have been made thus far.

I know..... the URL at the bottom is incorrect as well. It should be .com

http://georgvihos.com/ Then click on the SealTrue2 logo for more info.
Jerry- In that link it says the piece is protected BY light and oxygen, when it should be protected from or against...

Very cool concept, BTW. Can't wait to hear more about this. What kind of price points do these have?
 Rick

I expect the complete kits to wholesale for less than $80.

I received a PDF copy of the 2 posters Friday. This was after several advance copies were made for the trip to London. I did not write any of its copy or do any of the design work. I have already sent several corrections to the designer. These errors do not make me happy.

I have learned that when producing something for publication, I need to have someone else proof read it. We become too connected to what we produce, and often just don't see the errors.

This is a very exciting new technology.

Glad to see you are getting this thing rolling now, Jerry. I know you've been working on it for a while. I think there is quite an oportunity for custom framers to utilize the kits in their own shops. I have a couple projects on hand where they would be applicable.
