When it comes to finding stuff on the internet I jsut don't seem to get the hang of it. Tye in frames and you gety a kazillion differnet pages and some to do with computer window frames..? time in liners and you get ship liners..even frames without liners. You have to be very precise it seems.
Anyhow I saw the toehr day a web page that had the letter "M" framed I came to this page by someones post on here..Now I am looking again for this post but can't find it..any help would be much appreciated. I got a letter "R" to frame and am looking for some ideas.

Trapper:

You need to know the secret to web search. In Google, for example, if you're searching for framing letters, you need to surround those with quotes:

"framing letters" will search only for web pages with those exact words. Surrounding words with quotes will tell Google that it MUST display those and nothing else.

Also using the following example: picture frames "letters" will include letters in the search for picture frames.

You may want to use Advanced Search in Google - or use this link: Google Advanced Search

Thanks for the fast response, unfortunately " nice try but no cigar"
The word Letter can taker on different meaninings.
Letter as in A-Z or as in a love letter () written msg. ) I am trying to see the alphabet letter "R" and the different ways it can be written out so that I can frame it in..The leg of the "R" is what is making it difficult. Trying to figure out ways to join that in with a metal frame??
In other words I want to create the letter "R" by using just metal framing. I realize I can't bend the frame to form the round part of the letter so it would have to be a boxy looking letter, or even a small letter, but if I were to make a cap letter "R" how would I join in the leg of it??

Trapper,

You can take a metal frame sample along with the corner hardware to a machine shop to get what you need. Tell them that you would like them to cut the hardware and weld it to a strip of metal so you can create the angle that you need. They will know what to do as long as you have a frame sample with you.

Trapper,
There is an articulated corner hardware for metal frames used to do exactly what you're trying to do. Try M&M in NJ or UMSCO In NY

I wish to do it myself if possible. I will try the corner hardware..Thanks Greg.
This is seemingly such a simple project, but so far it has been a noghtmare trying to cut and join all the pieces..Something Like ten different pieces for just one letter..

Framing the letter "R"... just use a "Pirate" frame.

Same as "don't forget to use plenty of Hide Glue on that frame. . . sorry another thread.
