I standing there with you scratching my head Rob. I don't recall a configuration like this if it is vacuum operated.

Vacuum Operation for this 500T

Thank you for your observations.... You are both correct. This is not commonly seen for the 500T.

This Seal 500T can be used as a heat press or heat/vacuum press. It has a removable tray that sits inside the base of the unit (see 1st image). Removable tray sits slightly above the base of unit.

Put your foam board and print your mounting inside the tray. Attached pump hoses to tray ... place a piece of foam (see image with pump / tissue/ pad / foam) between top plate & tray & clamp press down. When pump indicate vacuum is occuring / and heat is set at 210 degrees, it will take about 5 minutes before job is done.

This unit is in good operating condition.

Here are some more photos showing how to attach vacuum pump to press when using this feature. When not using this feature, put foam pad in place of tray and use it as just a heat press.
