I seem to get a message like this about once a month:

The "Dear Sir or Madam" is usually a dead giveaway, as most people are not so formal when making inquiries to the website. I'm assuming these folks are somehow stealing information, but does anyone know the extent of the scam and how it works?

They pay with bogus funds and have you give the over payment back to them. The original payment is later reversed in your bank account leaving you several hundred or even thousand dollars in the red.

That's from Elvis Barton, and you are perfectly normal. Be worried if you don't get them.

Pick your picture frame scammer name:

First name is the name of your favorite rock and roll star.

Last name is the trade name of an arcane framing tool.

I'm Eric Keeton.

His number is obviously a Dallas, Tx. number.

LOL's Wow, looks like the message verbatim! I wonder what could be accomplished if we got these guys and the telephone solicitors together for a good cause!. I don't even bother to talk to the telephone solicitors anymore-- I simply hang up. They seem to get the message. I find my blood pressure stays lower this way, so kind of therapeutic :)

Best,

Troy
