I had my blades picked up today for sharpening. They will be returned Monday.
I thought I should share them as a source. They have been a family owned business since 1870 (five generations). Their name is Hayes Grinding Service. As a COMMERICAL GRINDING service they do everying from saw blades, sheers up to 20' long, moulding knives, tooling bits, etc.

Hayes is one of those great little companies that does one thing and does it very well.

I have used Hayes since the early 70's have never had anything but good service from them - particularly on chopper blades. Every year or so I send in all my chisels and get them back hollow ground, shiny and sharp enough to shave with.

Their calendar comes every december and hasn't changed in thirty years - a saw room fixture.
