Sandel ... yoo hoo!

I heard a rumor today that Sandel is no longer.
Anyone know about this?
Are they still the owners of Denglas?
The Goddess wants to know.

Hi Edie!

I called Sandel about 4-5 weeks ago and did talk to a real person. It just so happens I was calling about Denglas, because I thought they were still affiliated with Sandel. Not so anymore, they are totally separate. I was also told that Sandel no longer makes any coated glass products (i.e. UV) because, get this, there wasn't a demand for UV coated glass!!!??? I guess if demand was that low maybe they COULD have gone out of business, but they were still making the regular stuff as of last month!

Sandel is in bankruptcy. The bank is ( as in right now) liquidating the assets.

They made a lousy UV product. Probably what did them in.

I'd bet that there was simply no demand for their UV coated glass, because it was so cruddy.
