Peter,

You should see my website now, but it's only in Finnish. It WILL be in English one fine day.

I'm going for everything needed in framing: mouldings, accessories, posters, to meet other framers...

Anybody else joining us?

Hannu

I will be there of course working for The Fletcher-Terry Co. in the Farne Group stand.

Let's attempt to get together one evening.....Saturday or Sunday look like the best possibilities.

Hannu and I have met their in previous years, but this looks like a 50% increase in the Grumbler's attendance already!

Regards,

John (Birmingham Spring Fair UK)

Dear Hannu,

As usual I'll be at the VALIANI stand during all 4 days of the show. The framers from Belgium & the Netherlands know they can find me in case they need to see me. And Valiani will show their brandnew machine: the MatPro.

PS: Sorry, John... ;)

C U there...

I'll join you guys, so now we are 5. That's a car load, and I have a hire car so no waiting in a freezing queue for a taxi!
See you at SACA or stop by my booth HALL 29 Stand A 16 - Slater Harrison, to arrange which night.

Hey guys, sorry to be so delinquent with my post. The Wizard contingent will be in Bologna as well, including Brian Wolf and Petra Letson (our newest European office employee). Five of us in total, albeit only one Grumbler (me) among us.

Make sure you stop by the Wizard booth to say hi. We have a new mat cutter we will be showing too, as well as the introduction of our Rental Plan for Europe. Since this is our first time showing our product and our rental plan at this particular show, we are excited to see the reception.

I hope to see you all there, even though lately it seems like I see more of John than I do my own family.

OK....Here's the group that gathered this morning at SACA.....what happened to you Peter?

Several of us got away together tonight for some wonderful pasta and Italian wine at Trattoria Belfiore.

Ed Pratt, Kris Casier, Keith Hewitt, Hannu Nystrom, John Ranes

The show / fair has been busy, so it was actually fortunate that most of us could break away for this brief gathering.

A few more photos will follow later......

Thanks for the picture, John. It is always nice to put faces with names. You are with a great group of Grumblers there.

I'm sure you all are having a great time! Now stop teasing those of us who wish we were there! :D

Do they play darts in Italy?
John,

I honestly have never seen a dartboard in Italy, but then I've only been to Bologna. I will save my dart throwing arm for Wednesday night when I am back in the U.S......you can see how well I'm playing or badly by monitoring our team's stats at Polly's at ADI - Wednesday Night Darts.

In the meantime, I promised a couple of more pictures......so here's one:

hannu_&_vadim_demin2.jpg

This is Nannu Nystrom with friend and business associate Vadim Demin from Moscow, Russia.

Keith Hewitt of Slater-Harrison was wondering which of two group pictures I was going to post. He'd recruited his friend's at Zund to print an cut these mats for us so I guess I'm obligated to shown the alternative design....

Again, Ed, Kris, Keith, Hannu and myself.

Regards,

John (See many of you next weekend in New York or Las Vegas - Yes, I'll be at both venues!

Hey John, didja hear about the avalanche on the north side of Appleton? Damnedest thing. A 40-foot high pile of snow rushed down Northland Avenue, burying everything for 100 yards on either side of the street.

I didn't even know we had mountains in Appleton.

Thanks to John for arrangements. I hope everyone had a good show, although I heard from many vendors - moulding makers especially - that business was a little slow and there were less attendees as previous year. Anyway, spirits were high, food tasty and weather like Finnish summer.

BTW John, you underestimated your fellow Appletonian framer. Ron has over 4000 posts, NOT 2000. You owe me 10 euros, sorry :D

Hannu

Hannu, John probably was thinking of LAST week.

By the way, I've been to Finland in the summer and I fell in love with your beautiful country and its even more beautiful people

I'm quite happy with the pictures John took. Saturday morning was OK, as I went to bed early on Friday. Luckily he didn't take the picture on Sunday morning, as there were some major problems on Saturday evening:
--> the wine too tasty
--> the company too good
--> the grappa too strong (40° alcohol)
--> the pubs too crowdy

So you all can imagine how I felt on Sunday morning.

Thanks to the other grumblers for the company and I hope they all had a great and successful show, as I did.

OK Hannu,

You're correct......being closer to 4,000 posts for Ron means I do loose the bet. (Actually he's even closer to 5,000 posts -- what comes after Framing God?) Now I owe you €10 plus another €2.58 for the coins I requested from you.

Kris, I have a similar request. I am only missing 39 of the possible 96 Euro coins, including 7 of the 8 from Belgium. Could you please send me all but the 1€ coin, shiny and new as possible.

I'll owe you €2.88. And will pay you in Atlanta!

John

Dear John,

Only if you start selling Valiani machines...

Hey John,

Thanks for posting the pictures, no one at Wizard has ever seen me with a suit and tie on. They might actually start to believe I work every once in a while.

It was good seeing you all and let's get a few more recruits for next year.
