Has anyone tried to run Integrated Framer or Picture It First on an Intel powered Mac with Parallels. In theory it should work. I'm looking into a Visualization System and would like to keep everything on the Mac if possible. I'm not sure I want to be the first to try it.

Scott, I have heard of it being done. I can't tell you more than that.

Me, I already had a PC that came with my place when I bought it, so I took several steps backward to get Frameready for Windows and IF. With only a few initial problems, it's running ok so far.

Richard may be right, but keep in mind that although the newer Macs have Intel chips, there is a significant difference between the Windows and OS X operating systems.

There used to be Windows emulators for the Mac (pre-Intel), but they were extremely sluggish. I don’t know if they still exist, or are still needed with the new Macs.

I would suggest that you try the “Help” desk at an Apple Store and check with the visualization software people, too.

For that matter, it would be absolutely lovely for the various POS venders to come out with Mac versions of their software. I really hate that my Dell PC is already acting up after little more than a year.

Would be nice if the computer industry could start paying attention to quality of design and workmanship. Maybe they wouldn't need huge call centers in Bangalore if they made a better product?
