Okay, I have a HUGE Problem, and am hopping for an easy fix, but not expecting one. The arbor on my Breviti Prisma CE was slightly rounded when this business ( and saw) were purchased. I have done my best to seat the allen wrench as squarely and deeply as possible @ every blade change. However, today, the allen wrench slipped inside the arbor, and has rounded to a point that I can no longer keep it from spinning while I remove the arbor nut. Is there an easy/cost effective solution to this problem?

I have not tried this myself but I know of someone who had the same problem ... This is a quote from him ... "forget about the allen wrench, use a wide piece of moulding or strainer stock and wedge it between the blade and cabinent inner wall to make the blade immobile and then turn the nut with a wrench. Watch what was near impossible, become easy".

When I change blades I wedge the moulding in there as described.

Mine is a Pistorius so I just slide a scrap in place and push the foot pedal down so the teeth dig into the moulding.

Andrew's solution should work, I've often done that with various saws.

Another thought, and I don't know if it would work but worth the try for $5.00. Buy some JB-Weld and fill the hole, insert your allen wrench into it and allow it to begin to set slightly, and then remove the wrench. If it works you will have recreated the key. As I said, I haven't tried it but JB-Weld is great stuff and you can mould it.
