I'm framing a Rotary certificate, and their web site doesn't list matboard numbers, but does list Pantone colors. So how do I match these?

The link to their colors is here: http://www.rotary.org/RIdocuments/en_pdf/547en.pdf

The Pantone blue is 286, and gold is 123 C. Does Bainbridge have a link? I'm a foreigner to Pantone.

Thanks in advance.

It might be a good idea to strike up a friendship with a local print shop. I have one right in my building. When questions like this come up I head on over with my matboard specifiers, borrow their Pantone guide, and look for the closest match.

Booyaaaaa! Never thought of that. There's one across the hall from me. Great idea.

Thanks, Jim

You might offer to give a frame for their work mans comp certain. Those Pantone color selectors are very expensive. What your asking is similar to having them ask you to cut a center out of a mat he brings over to you. You are using him.

Our two businesses are linked: we send them massive volumes of printing, and they send us massive volumes of stretching, mounting and framiing. They want to buy me out, and I want to buy them out.

Of course they have no idea of what framing is all about, and I have no idea what their biz is all about.
