Rose Frog

After painting all the miniatures for the Grumblers, I painted a few more for friends outside the forum.

I enjoyed painting Nicole's frog so much that I decided to paint another tree frog watercolor for a long time friend of mine who keeps both frogs and salamanders. He is sitting inside a rose, hence the name "Rose Frog".

Problem is...when I finished it...I loved him SO much, I just had to keep him!! He is hanging on my bedroom wall now, and when I stand there and look at him...I feel like he is just going to hop out of the frame onto my shoulder...

(I am now going to paint a salamander for my friend...I think I will be safe..I don't like salamanders as much...LOL!)

I framed the small painting...(4 x 4.5 inches)...in scrap materials on hand. I couldn't even tell you what they are..just stuff I pulled out of the scrap bins...but I like how it turned out...

Way cool. You are so good at this. I bet customers line up at your door with money in hand and wait for these treasures, and if they do not they should. Such talent. I love the frog and the framing fits it perfectly.

Awww Pat....I love that one! I can imagine you didn't want to part with that....too adorable! Love the framing on it too. Am working on design for both owl and kitty but so far I'm probably being too picky!!!!

Pat, I love the itty bitty! A friend of mine gave me a tile with one of those painted on it. I have it on the wall behind my stove - makes me smile every time I cook! Your froggie is MUCH nicer though! And I love the framing - scraps or no. Looks great!
