Video and photo images of the SW Louisana coastline have been sparse at best and here are the NOAA satellite images just taken yesterday and made available today. The images may not mean much to those not familiar with the area, but I spent 15 years working out of that area in the offshore oil & gas industry so the photos hit a tender spot for me.
It looks like many of the industrial chemical/petroleum tanks, piping and pressure vessels are still upright, so environmental impact hopefully will be minimized. Residential property appear to be non-existant. These folks have always heeded storm warnings and evacuated the area since Audrey in the 50s. Property can be replaced.
