I seem to be brain-locked. I can't come with an arrangement I like.

Customer has the certificate of first dollar (8 1/2 x 11 certificate with a dollar taped on it); 5x7 horizon. photo of ribbon cutting and an approx. 12"+ piece of red ribbon used at the opening of her business. She said, "Frame it up cool for me."

Any ideas?
 
How about running the ribbon diagonally across the mat, and including a pair of scissors - or cutting a part of the mat into a shape like scissors and running the ribbon through the blades?

Or what about making the certificate be at the back of a raised mat (like a shadow box), put the photo partly overlapping in front with a fillet frame around it, and twine the red ribbon past the photo and into the raised mat?
