Is there a way to reverse the Perfect Mount Bond?
I have a call into Crescent for tech support but in the meantime... the tech support here is much faster in general!!

I adhered an 8x10 color professional photo and as I was burnishing found that a piece of "something" underneath was creating a small blemish on the surface.

In an attempt to remove the photo from the board I was okay until I reached the point that I had already burnished down just a nudge away from the blemish area.

I am very annoyed with myself on this one - as I have been adhering things with adhesive for years - and the use of Perfect Mount is something I have just begun to use.

Thanks, Roz

I have removed photos with UNSeal or Adhesive Release-- careful -- don't breath the stuff,or get it on your skin(now they tell me) but it does work.
I put the solvent in a "ValveSpout" it looks like a little oil can. It has a brass tip that closes so the stuff doesn't evaporate.

Put a little stream of the liquid at the edge where the adhesive and photo join --it doesn't disolve adhesives, but it breaks the bond.

Careful not to pull the photo over itself and crack the surface.
Isn't framing fun? You can call me at 800-999-7491 if you need more info.

Vivian - Thank you and Yes! Framing is Fun! But screwing up something isn't. :(

I used the Unseal in the little can (I was a graphic artist way back when.... and used it all the time) and the fact that it isn't good for your skin or to inhale isn't news to me....isn't that too bad!! But it didn't budge the bond that had already occurred on the Perfect Mount.

I was at AFEX last month and met you at the Crescent booth - really enjoyed your presentation!

Thanks for your input!

Roz
