Just wanted to share with all of you my thoughts.
After 42 years in picture framing and 25 of those in our own shop. Health concerns have dictated our retirement. We have sold our shop to our loyal shop manager and wish her continued sucess.
I wanted to thank all of you for the comaraderie of the Grumble. Even though I have been around for a long time, the Grumble has been a positive learning experience.
Framing has been a very rewarding and fun experience for all of those years. So to all of the newbies out there, you will have a great ride. The industry certainly has changed a lot and can only get better.
I will still access the Grumble and enjoy the posts.
Well, on to the new adventures of traveling and grandkids. Fishing in Minnesota in the summer and Arizona in the winter.
So long for now.

Jim,
Absolute best wishes in your retirement!

May your days be filled with Minnessota fishing, Arizona sunbathing, and all the adventures in between!!

I never knew we get to retire, I always thought the only way out was on a guerney, neighbors standing around shaking their heads as they wheel you out. Thanks for making my day, something new and exciting to look forward to. I hope your medical problems are minor and your retirement long & happy.

Have you introduced the new owner to the grumble?
All the best and best wishes for solving your health issues.

Sorry to hear about the health problems, 42 years in picture framing and you sound like you were still enjoying it. I bet that out of the 1600 or so Grumblers on this site half of them are not as old as you have working in this profession. Good luck, enjoy yourself and your family. Best Wishes. tdavis

WISH A FEW FRAMERS IN MY AREA WOULD RETIRE! HOPE YOUR RETIREMENT is as long as your working career.
Good LUCK!

Jim - Best wishes with your two new careers: traveling and grandchildren. I hope you'll continue to drop in at the Grumble and keep us posted on your activities. Also, please keep in mind that it isn't very far to Rochester and I'm very fond of a good walleye dinner.
