This will be our first holiday season with retail items. I know every market is different, but I'd love some recommendations for the more experienced.

Also, I just realized the other day that I hove no gifts for men!! Any ideas or best sellers??

Here's what we currently carry ... greeting cards, Momiji dolls, Carlo Biagi Jewelry, Naked Bee lotions, The Original Cake Candle, fair recycled bags and totes, photo frames, and soon The Very Littlest Dragon!

Thanks in advance!!

Swiss Army knives. Victorinox has great pos displays.

You have to realize that it will be the woman who will be buying it for the man.

What this means is that the woman will like it and think he will also, even tho if the man were to come in, there would be no way he would buy it for himself or even pick it up to look at it.

I can count on one hand the times that a woman bought me something as a present that I was all excited about and said that was just what I wanted!!
A sweater? Really?

just sayin'...

Hey, I didn't ask what men WANTED did I, lol. Yup, I'm looking for what women will buy for men!

Like the wine bottles. Wine is big here. There is a local artist doing etching on them, but the etching is too small and I can't make enough on them. He does commission not wholesale.

Sharp objects in the shop ... wonder if I can slid that one under AJ's nose. He tries to keep me way from sharp objects (YES, I have cut myself with the wizard, don't even ask ...).

Thanks! Keep'um coming!

Didn't know there was a down east in Canada!!

There's only one Down East, and that is Maine.

We spend a lot of time there, hurricanes or not.

More Ideas

If you have wall space, think about aviation art. We've sold many Spitfires, Mustangs, Lancs, Hurricanes, Mosquitoes. The ladies buy them for their male relatives.

Fine writing instruments.

Several suggestions:

Find some local craftsman who makes wood pens. I guarantee they are out there.

Tombo... one of the best writing instrument lines with moderately priced pens. Great guarantees on their products too.

If you are entertaining a high end writing instrument I would point you toward Waterman. Broad appeal, great guarantee, attractive and with a price range from about 70.00 upwards.

Don't forget the refills! I use to sell about 10K a year in refills alone.

Dave... You are talking Waterman to a woman in the center of the state of
Carharts.

Yup.. fishing ornaments, crab pots, fillet knives that only AJ has the key to the
cabinet....

And if you are thinking any artwork 2D or 3D from Laura.... better tell her soon..

I can just picture the three Gnomes with Santa hats.... or Tink in a hat...

or even Santa Claws

But if you want to expand your jewelry.... this sucker is 5" across, and looks like he's breathing....

It's a Mrs Baer recommendation...

Don't forget these...Lockheed P38 Lightning.
The German Luftwaffe called them "the fork-tailed devil" and the Japanese called them "two planes, one pilot".

We sell a lot of framed aviation art thanks to an affiliation with the Commemorative Air Force Museum in Mesa AZ.

Haaa, haaa ... there is a Carhart ad on the radio right now!!

Thanks for the great ideas ... much to think about and research!
