Awrighty this is for another forum, but it is a textile question. How to remove residual strong perfume smells from an embroidered military patch (vintage)... Seemed like a worthwile question. I collect the things myself and may need the info too. Useful for tje other fabric based treasures I use for sculptures as well... So conservators......any suggestions? L

If you can mist it with with a water/white distilled vinegar mixture without damaging it, do so.
But it's amazing what hanging outdoors on some breezy days will do for undoing the stank.

Slip it into an envelope made from Tyvek.
Bury the envelope in a box of Arm & Hammer for a couple of weeks.
DO NOT PUT IT IN THE REFRIGERATOR
(it slows the chemical reaction by 80-85%)

or order a 2lb jar of Zeolite from Portland Bungalow
