I was picking up some stuff at a local industrial supply dealer when I stumbled upon "Crown 7090 Tan Box Saver". Lo and behold, just spray it over printing or labels when re-using kraft paper cardboard cartons and they look like new. No more crossing out or peeling labels for me!

I don't recall ever being as concerned by the box as I was with the product inside, but I don't need to know that the carton was previously used to ship Tampons from Kimberly Clark.

Looks like a good idea if you do much shippping.

Ron, the post office won't take any carton with writing on the outside now (don't do much shipping do you?) And they always ask the same questions: "Is there anything hazardous, liquid, or flammable inside?"

Just say "no" and off it goes. Not that I would lie about it, but I've always wondered what they would do if you said "yes".

We just wrap over other labels with the free Priority Mail tape that they give you. Only problem is, you then have to use Priority Mail... go figure.

I have used in the past CHEAP tan spray paint from the hardware store. They used to have $.99 specials. The color in close but definitely does not match.

I think the specials are now $1.99.

I always saved my print boxes when I was buying prints and would do as Edie suggested, they turn inside out very easily and most are structurally sound after doing this. (As "structurally sound" as a cardboard box gets, anyway.)

Now I have a Pak-Mail almost across the street from me and I let them worry about the boxes.
