It's like wearing a 100% Egyptian cotton shirt or a polyester blend. There both good shirts------
or a Harley Davidson vs a Honda, there both good bikes
or a Rolls Royce vs a Cadilac, both are good cars

May I humbly offer a suggestion? I will anyway. ;)

If you want to respond to a discussion "already in progress," use the "post reply" button. That keeps the entire discussion together in one "thread" which is especially important if someone wants to look at it months later. (Someone will want to do that.)

If you want to start an entirely new discussion, use the "post new topic" button.

Thank you for your feedback on the matboard topics. The vendors are an important part of the mix here.
 
OZ: compare a Rolls with a Caddy? COmpare a handmade, hand crafted vehicle with handmade seating, choice of wools or alpaca for carpeting, with a pieceof Detroit Iron? they're not "good cars' A Rolls is a "great car"; the Caddy is an "excellent car". Until it's handmade, cannot compare to a Rolls.
 
It is such a beautiful day here in San Diego today. Hard to work and stay indoors.

Alpha is a name Bainbridge uses and it includes Alpharag as well as Alphamats both, after processing, being alpha cellulose. The Alpha rag, according to Bainbridges last specifier, has the largest selection of solid color rag mats on the market. There are some really beautiful, subtle colored boards. They also put rag on their Archival foamboard. Their line of Alphamats is very broad; giving a framer just about every color they need to work with. Some of the new textures are really exciting. I especially love the AlphaLinens and Archival Denims, which totally meet FACTS PMMB-2000. All of the Alpha products have Artcare, which improves the longevity of the art and the matboards due to its scavenger capabilities.

I don't ride motorcycles; certainly don't drive a rolls, but matboard, that's right up my alley!!
