I have a customer who has a 44"x 30" poster-puzzle
from 1974. It has never been assembled , It is Galen
from the Planet of the Apes. The pcs. are about 7" x 9".
Any suggestions on mounting and or glazing this?

Thanks,
Butch

...and they are going to hang it in their living room??:faintthud:

By the way... don't forget to charge them for assembling the puzzle.

No offense I hate that movie. Freaked me out when I was little!!!

I normally drymount puzzles and I suggest plexi for glazing!
Unless its worth something don't do the above.............

I sell puzzles here in my store, so I sell them some puzzle glue and give them a sheet of release paper and an empty Tru-Vue box to transport it in.

When they bring it back to me all glued together I use some PVA and glue it to the backing board I am using to frame it.

I agree, it is not your job to assemble the puzzle, and if you do charge for the time it takes. Me, no way, I hate putting puzzles together.

The assembly of the puzzle is not my concern really, it is only about 20 pcs. The customer..(friend of a friend) may want to disassemble it at some later time for whatever reason? Lets say this puzzle was priceless... as if any puzzles could be priceless? If so is there an archival method to framing this?

It works!

Trust it -- It works!

Fusion or Colormount - I've used both.

last one I did(as experiment with owners ok) was onto F4000/FC---let it warmup for 5 min the did it for about 8min..... actually pushed the pieces into the FC so that they were almost even height! we were matting around it so that worked out just right! just be careful that all those pieces are TOGETHER before you shut vac lid!
