I am having a problem with my Cassese 910 joiner. When I press the foot pedal the triangle clamp is pushing a little too hard and is making the top of the frame come apart, instead of staying together like it was before I hit the pedal. I am new at using this and the former employees that left it for dead for using the thumbnailer left no info on this machine. Any help would be great. Jay

Jay--
you didn't say whether yu have a manual for the machine. If you don't, go to the Cassesse site and you can download a copy. I have an 810. Not sure how the machines differ, but if you have an adjustable fence maybe it is out of whack. If John Baker sees your post he will probably share his thoughts on the 910. He's pretty colorful sometimes.

Assuming your cuts are good I'd definately check those fences. Sounds like they're tilted too far back.

Are you setting the triangle with the button up, locking in position and then lowering the button? Also with mouldings having a low or reverse sloped back, you need to set the fences so that they lean over the moulding.

There should be a small return button below the machine inside. After a while this can get out of adjustment. This is very easily fixed by readjusting the return spring. This happens to our machines every so often. Look underneath and have someone operate the machine with some scrap. I think you will see what I mean. Good luck!

The newer Cassese machines leave a lot to be desired. They built a great reputation with the 810, and have been living off that reputation ever since. The best people to talk to is Active Sales in California. The have all the parts, manuals & expertise. Give them a call.

John
