Hello. When a customer wants, NavajoChevron.WCA, ApatcheChevron.WCA, Mailbox.WCA, plus a bunch more, I dread it :( . When cutting out NavajoChevron, for example, as the cuts are made, the fine "pointy" spots slightly curl up and the cutter head, when it moves from left to right, up or down, grabs it just enough to ALMOST tear the tiny corners off. I tried cutting with the face up, but it does the same. I tried cutting then "reverse bevel", again, the same problem. The hardest to cut out is almost ALL the "Grooves - CutArt, 1,2,3. The ONLY :smileyshot22: chance of cutting the grooves out without small mat pieces jamming between the matboard and the cutter head (which would ruin the mat finish) is to stand there with a blowgun and blow away all the loose pieces when the cutterhead is in is lifted up for a couple of seconds before it plunges back down. OR, which i try NOT to do to often is to STOP the head cutter, click new blade, then remove any pieces that look like they might get jammed.

Suggestions? How can I solve the problems  ?

(I have the CMC 8500e. and i set the blade to cut ONLY as deep as necessary.)
Thanks for any info.

I cut out the Navajo chevrons 2 days ago and had some success. Mine were 36" tall by 4" wide. Even when using a new blade, I had to be careful when removing the dropout. Doing it carefully, it came out clean. However, I also experienced some curling from the sharp points. I added atg tape even over the sharp points, then pulled back the excess with a swizzle stick from Starbucks. Also used glue drops and smeared some on the sharp points, carefully. My mats were suede. Tacked it down, then put a weight over the cutout. :D
