Precise Height Adjustable Hangers

Hi,
Has anyone tried these yet? I sure like the look of them in PFM but they look like they might stick out to far off the back. Thoughts?

I would have trouble trusting that they won't slip. I'd like to find something adjustable that doesn't use a cross wire, something more like a "D" ring.
