Hello,

Is it necessary to pre-dry RC (in my case color Fuji Crystal Archive glossy) photographs? I like to expose my photographs to as little heat and time in the press as possible.

Thanks.

At this time of year, probably not. The ambient humidity level in December is probably low enough so you can get away with it.

However, I would suggest you pre-dry the ColorMount® cover sheet. Even the slightest bit of moisture in/on it will louse up the glossy surface of the photo.

As a matter of routine in our shop, we pre-dry all release papers before sticking photos into the heat press.
