A few days ago, someone(can't remeber who...with apologies) posted an email address for a Cathy Filter from PMA membership: CFilter@pmai.org

As I memntioned, I was confused and sent the US rate instead of the CND + GST rate. I also had some other questions and Cathy was EXTREMELY helpful. She would answer my questions on the day they were sent.

I strongly encourage anyone who has membership questions to direct them to Cathy via email and all will be looked after very efficiently. Also, during the process of waiting for my balance owing cheque, they have sent me PPFA mailings.

So far...VERY IMPRESSED!

Ted :D

A big clap on the back for Cathy, from me also………….Cathy is a great example of what GOOD customer service is about.

Ted i think i may have posted the email address you used (cfilter@pmai.org for Cathy Filter) I also posted another some time previously along with Cathies. It was for Ron Rowley the director of the PPFA/PMAI rrowley@pmai.org Both of these two have expressed a strong desire to answer any questions we TFG have all you need to do is Write. By the way in the first message i relayed that if you know the first name and sir name of anyone at PPFA you can reach them by typeing their first initial and last name along with pmai.org. Cathy is very cordial and helpful as you noted but so is Ron and all the other staff .Only trouble is they are waiting for us to call.

Sherry,

It took about 60 days for me to get my membership materials from the PPFA. The first to arrive was a certificate (suitable for framing.) Then, a week or two later, I received a packet that must have cost at least $25 to assemble and mail.

You membership will almost certainly extend through September of 2003, making it one of the best bargains you're likely to find anywhere.

So, for the sake of all of us Grumblers out there who are planning to join or, in my case, re-join the PPFA, how exactly should we go about doing this??? Email this Cathy? Tell me HOW to do this and is it REALLY $25 until September of 2003??????

[/QUOTE]And now the bad news: On my little plastic card, which we received after joining about the same time Ron did, it plainly states, on the front, that it, "Expires September 30, 2002"

I will be emailing Cathie and getting the jist on this. If they do, in fact expire in Sept 2002, it's not worth it. We will probably re-join, but I'd go ahead and pay the full dues, rather than pay $25 for, essentially 3 months, especially if I were expecting to be a member until 9-2003.

Remember, the $25 introductory fee started right after PPFA joined with PMA, so it was a good deal then... as to extending it to 2003, I don't know... or else I've forgotten (a likelier scenario).

YES YES YES

PPFA membership is good through to September 2003 for $25 it’s a steal.

Open an application form on the front page of the PPFA web site www.ppfa.com

It’s on the forms good to 30th September 2003

Get your checkbooks, credit cards or whatever out this has got to be the greatest deal of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK OK so Ryanair are selling flights from Dublin to London for €10 but who wants to go to London………..all right, all right I might go next week. :D

Thanks Dermot!!! I have saved the application and will print myself a copy as soon as I get some more ink on Monday!!

I can hardly wait, I am SO excited. I was in the PPFA for many years and never met anyone, and now I know all of youse Grumblers!!!
