My husband and I were learning to install a backsplash in our kitchen. We saw this and picked it up at home depot. As we were using it, all I could think of was what framing applications could I use it for!

NON-CONSERVATION items only,
tiles, plaster, plastic items, name plates, ceramics, athletic medals, coins, ?????

Again, not for preservation....just for enjoy framing...

Have fun..

How well did it work sticking new tile over old? ...funny, I'm actually curious about the intended purpose of it. :)

Am I the only one wondering how long this apparent pressue-sensitive adhesive will last before dropping things?

I would figure that eventually the adhesive will release, but you can always look at it as an opportunity to redecorate...

If I wanted something to stay stuck, with no preservation concerns, I would just use some Liquid Nails, and be sure to glue to the strongest layer of the substrate.

I had the opportunity to see this stuff from Susan when I was picking up supplies. It is a real interesting product and I can see many applications for it, NON-CONSERVATIVE of course. Just 1 - 12" X 12" sheet would last a long time. It is extremely sticky and IMO, I don't believe there should be a issue with the adhesive giving way.

I agree with Rick, Liquid Nail holds in most construction application, but I can see where this product could be very useful doing some of the same jobs. I believe it could be used instead of a silicone or hot glue in the picture framing applications also.

Just my $0.02 - Joe B
