POS on iPad or other tablet

I've done a few searches and can't really find anything solid regarding running any framing industry specific pos's on iPads or other tablets. I also can't find anything on pos vendor FAQ's about iPad/tablet compatibility.

Does anyone have this kind of set up for counter sales?

What are you using, how is it working out? Pro's, con's, regrets, hallelujahs?

Typing this now on someone else's (Xmas present) tablet, and I feel like a program like frameready could be really clunky on it. . .

As per other discussions on the interest in this set up, not worried about theft, not worried about employee damage and won't be running cc's through it.

Our software does. But unfortunately not available for US.

As for how well it works on the Ipad. Ok to good.
The downside of the tablets is the pop up keyboards, they seem to take longer to enter then say on a laptop or normal keyboard.
Printing i think may still only be to an air type printer

However, we can now connect wireless barcode scanners up which make things a lot quicker as no need to click or tab into the next field, scanning automatic goes from one field to the next.

Pro's
very portable, great for when doing ordering of stock as you can walk around around with it an enter as you go.
You can take a snap of the artwork and upload it straight into the job.
Store photos of other jobs, to show customers ideas.
Hand it to your customer to enter the details if you like.
(Play games)
Theft or damage no concern as software is cloudbased. Just pickup another device even your smart phone and right where you left off.

Regrets
None that i can think of.
