I have found what I belive to be a rather simple solution to the "Static Cling" problem when working with plexi-glass. I had recently gotten a job for 14 oversized prints of the N.Y.C skyline that all required plexi-glass to be used. Some of the pieces were 60" x 40" and the static cling was a nightmare. After doing the first two pieces I was wondering if it was worth it. The lint attracted by the plexi-glass was almost impossible to deal with. I was aware of the anti-static brushes and cloth wipes on the market but did not have any available. The solution? Static-Guard! I simpley sprayed the worktable and the area around the table including any brushes I was working with. As an extra precaution I sprayed the clothes that I was wearing as well. The key here is to spray the protective paper barrier before peeling it off. It may seem like a lot to do but it saved about 1/2 the time required to fit the pieces.
