I have a customer who wants a plexi glass cover for this printer's tray(see attached photo). It needs to be removable. My thought was hinges at the top and a clip at the bottom.

Although I have never done this with plexi....I'm assuming you can use a drill to pre-drill the holes into the plexi.

Does anyone have a better suggestion?

one more thing I forgot to mention.....the customer now says that the plexi can't be mounted flush to the printer's tray because their are doll legs/etc. that stick out over the edge.

This now poses a new problem.

Perhaps putting a clear spacer on the plexi, but then how do I attach it to the printers tray so that is is still able to be opened.

Any suggestions welcome!

Do a plex box but have the top side extend an inch and pre-drill a couple of holes with a couple of nails protruding from the top of the cabinet for it to hook in to it.

Jeff beat me to it: A framed plexi sitting on top of it (Slip Over Frame).

Jim Miller has an example in his fine book The Complete Guide to Shadowboxes and Framing Objects.
