Dear all:

How many of you have framed Plasma TVs & LCDs??

I was contemplating going after this growing market but when I look at my own computer LCD screen with its controls, buttons and wires, I am thinking this could be a nightmare!

How does one get to those controls if the frame covers them?? Leave a hole in the frame?? A hinge?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have done one.

There are receiving type gizmos that you can put on the frame edge or in my case a piece of furniture that held the equipment that receives the remote signal and relays it to the device.

Luckily I have a local guy I can sub out to and just do the frame.

I tripple checked my measurements, fitted in my store (It was a double stacked moulding with a fillet to bring the edge of the frame to the edge of the screen)

Then when it placed over the tv the junction of where frame one met frame two fit perfectly over a little ridge on the tv and locked itself into place. (This wasn't planned but could not have worked any better)

I would not suggest fitting at the house regardless of size. All my tools and space I need are at the shop, if the customer sees you doing it at their house they may not think it is as quality of a job as it should have been.

Good luck and give it a try!
