I picked up 9 of these at an auction recently.

The one in the center is an original one shown for reference. $30.00 each including shipping within the US. $30.00 plus shipping TBD for our other friends. That seems like a fair price. They fit the EMN-12/14 and the MN-200 saws. I don't know about other Pistorius saws but if you have one, and these fit, let me know.

At Decor, they are current selling these puppies for $79.99 each plus shipping. The image below showing $75.00 is from 2 years ago.

If you want to make your own, here is a thread from 2 years ago about that. http://www.thegrumble.com/showthread.php?56073-Making-new-lower-Chip-Breaker-for-Pistorius

Payment by PayPal. PM me and let me know how many you want. 7 are available; FCFS. I will PM back with my PayPal email.

A couple of framers here have made them. I wonder what the lifespan of the hardwood version is.

If you look at the thread I referenced in my original post, you will see that I started that tread in April 2011. The lower chip breaker I made in that thread is still in my saw today.

I don't see any reason why the hardwood versions would last any less longer than the Phenolic ones.

Now if you made them out of pine or some other softwood.....................................

A bigger consideration is the runout of the saw blade. If the blade is running true, then the breaker will last longer than if you have any significant runout.
