I have a customer interested in pink frames. I don't have anything close to what she's looking for. She wants a bright pink not a baby pink. Anyone have any ideas who I can get a frame this color from?

I just checks my walls and the only bright pink is N117-237 raspberry fizz. You could get a spray can of Krylon and get closer to the color she wants.

M&S Finishing out of Salisbury, NC has a hot pink, flamingo pink moulding with sanded edges that is very reasonably priced. It's a flat profile that comes in 5/8 and 1 1/2 inch width. 704-637-1367.

You could chose a white-ish frame that has heaps of rottenstone on it and give it a paint job in vivid pink using Liquitex acrylics. Give it a hit of crystal clear and Voila! Broadens your selection and is a ten minute job.

Adhesia in NJ has many shades of pink.

The key to operating a can of spray paint perfectly is the word "dust"." Dust " each coat on a little at a time, never try to get your finish coat on the first pass.

If you are spraying a pre-finished moulding, test a bit first to see if the paint sticks properly. Wait until it's dry and try scraping with a fingernail. If it flakes off, it needs a good sanding to give a better 'key'. Even then, some finishes defy all efforts to add paint on top. If you want to use water-based paint (Acrylic?), a light sanding followed by a barrier coat of shellac will give a good base. The shellac will stick to the finish in most cases and being organic and porous, will take a water-based paint successfully.

Thanks for all your ideas. I'll try some companies mentioned and if that doesn't work out I'll paint. :)
