Throw those corners out if you still have any cause Piedmont bit the dust this week. Things hadn't been good there for awhile but still...another American frame producer bites the dust! Will everything be imported?
Not too many companies manufacturing in USA and getting smaller everyday.

Ainsley,
I wonder who gets to share Piedmont's market. You imply the answer is foreign companies. It could be, as seen before (no American VCRs, TV sets manufacturers left, to take just two examples). But hot, truly open competition is the very American way of doing business. As consumers, we all enjoy buy goods at the lowest price possible [gasoline for example

] and pay the lest amount of taxes among civilized, developed countries of the world. The reverse of the medal is less social and corporative protection; if you do not strive to keep ahead, you'll be eaten by a larger, hungrier fish which nationality matters very little. Framers too, fall victims to this mechanism but their individual size makes it less conspicuous of a lose.
