Photos of our latest project

I love the over-engineering. That is MY style.... nothing.. not even a 9 quake
is going to move them.

And I love Kreg.

Great job Rob.

Great project, thanks for sharing.

I love the idea of the three canvas prints skirting the frame. It's so much nicer than three gallery wraped images on the wall alone.

When you wrap the canvas prints around a panel do you glue down the canvas?

No, Doug. That way the "panels" are re-usable and we can replace the images by lifting off the panels, unstapling the canvas and re-stretching. That is also one of the reasons why I used Basswood for the perimeter of the platforms - much easier to remove staples!

Great work as usual. I like the way that you used a Facebook Album presentation for the project. If your FB is open to the public, or if this were on a company FB page, then links to albums like this would be great introductory PR for your company when soliciting corporate business.

On a project like this I am curious as to how you would present the idea to the client. In our shop we would mock it up on Photoshop and send it like a visualization.

Actually, the designers printed a full scale mockup on banner material and said, "can you make this?" It was up to me to source the materials and do the "over" engineering :) - and of course, the fabrication.

Here's a hint. If a client ever says they want a four color duotone color matched to a pantone color - either charge 5 x what you think it should cost or run away........
