Here is a new display I've done to promote Digital Custom services.
Frame is NurreCaxton Neopolitan, and the mat is A4014.

I did the text elements in Photoshop Elements. ;)

Nice display

I just started offering digital restoration, am feeling a little more confident in photoshop elements. Do you print your own or send it out. What kind of printer are you using. I just did two jobs without getting my brochure or a display up, people just asking. Seems a good way to help sales. I bought used elements 5 and the missing manual, it is a bit like learning chinese to me. Are you getting a lot of work and hows your pricing. I surfed the net to see what others were charging, all over the place. Thanks inspired me to get a display finished.

Rick, Looks good, were did you find that much wall space? Remember you have the ceiling to hang stuff on.

Mona, I do minor restorations in house and send out the tougher jobs to Digital Custom. As to printers, I am using an Epson 9800 and 4800.

The display takes up the space formerly occupied by two framed examples of portrait photography done by a customer of mine. She is a certified master photographer and portrait specialist, but after her kids were grown and gone she decided to go back to school and became a psychologist, so no more photography. :icon20:

The photos in the display were provided by Digital Custom. I did the text parts myself in Elements and printed them out, mounted on blackcore mat and cut out each with reverse bevels. The photos and text parts float above the mat at slightly different levels.

I also do simple restorations myself and use DC for all others. I let them do the printing bec. it's more archival than what my printer puts out.

Very nice Rick,

It shows many examples in a compact space. Very classy looking too. I like the idea of mounting on blackcore and doing a reverse bevel. Looks sharp.

For some different examples, check out the DigitalCustom video from the banner link on the Grumble page. I did a few examples in the video-blue mat for photo restoration and a yellow mat for pop art. They were done in the new Nielsen gilded line to save space in our shop and to keep costs down.

I think that you at least need to get something up to show what you can do. You can always change it later which you should probably do anyway to keep interest fresh.

so, can we frame thoughts then? hmmmm:kaffeetrinker_2:

The parts of the Digital Custom video featuring Kimberly Daniel were filmed in my shop. As compensation, I got a bunch of DC credit, so I'm going to order a number of examples of pop art and other techniques using my own photos, so I can show 'em off in the shop, then take 'em home.
