Hi

Here we are again, asking for some info from the knowledgable grumblers out there. Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this problem.
Just mounted two photos for a customer using perfect mount. These are somewhat glossy photos, the customer is printing them on his "home" computer printer (still trying to get more info on exactally what type of printer that is). Opted for perfect mount, instead of heat, for this reason, but as I peeled back the release paper, some of the ink came up w/ the paper.
How should i approach mounting these in the future. I hate to spray mount and fear the outcome. Is it possible to mount these?

............. if the paper is EPSON GLOSS.......

I had a problem with this paper and both Crescent and Bainbridge self stick products. The release paper was sticking to the white borders as well as the image. I contacted both suppliers and only Crescent was able to determine the reason.

I had some old stock that was formulated before Epson reformulated their paper. The release paper sticks to this paper. Crescent has since reformulated their release paper. They also suggest that even with the reformulation the release paper NOT BE USED for burnishing from the inside surface to the inside surface... The release paper should be reversed for burnishing.

"but as I peeled back the release paper, some of the ink came up w/ the paper. "

Hinge them. Obviously the ink they are using is not a mate for the glossy paper. Try not to touch them, blow on them, or talk too close to them! Get 'em under glazing as soon as you can!

Odds are they are using inks that aren't compatible to the paper. Epson ink to Epson paper is the only way to go and should not have that effect.
It is all their fault and you need to let them know of their mistake.
