Well not really it is rainy an chilly.....
I left early so I would get there 30 min early. On the way into work today I come to a stop at red light. there are 5 cars in front of me. I am waiting for the light to change then Boom,,,,,,,Lady crashes right into the back end of my Scion XB with her Honda SUV....Just perfect :faintthud:
So I call the local sheriff takes 35 min. for him to get there. Crazy he stops and talks to the lady who hit me first. Took her drivers lic, and info which took about 10 min. Did not even come up and check on me to see if I was okay soo weird. Finally came up and asked if I was okay and for my driver lic & insurance card. I was a little dizzy but okay. Just minor damage to the bumper. No air bag deployed for either of us. It took two hours and 10 min. before he was done and released me...
So much for being early.....Did not get to work until12:05:(

Glad you're OK.
Wonder if she was busy on a cell phone.
I have seen people drive through red lights right in front of me and the light was not even changing.
They were so "distracted" that they were not even aware that the light was red, or even that there WAS a light or an intersection.
They can be worse than drunk drivers.

If you're even a little dizzy, I strongly encourage you to get at least a cat scan.
A girl who worked at our gallery was rear-ended a few years ago in this same
way, and at first she thought she was fine. Then, she started having bad vertigo,
headaches and other problems. I hope very much that you get tested now, so
they can link any possible injuries to the accident sooner rather than later. Also
have a girlfriend who was run into by a car at a crosswalk and her real troubles
didn't kick in for a couple weeks either. Very much not wanting to be a Debby
Downer, and I hope you're fine, but I think insurance should pay for you getting
checked out. Thanks for listening to your kid sis. (Or big sis', whichever the case
may be.)

How do you like your XB? My husband thinks he wants one so I'm curious. Right now, he's driving a Highlander Limited so there's a bit of a difference there. It's way too late for a mid-life crisis for him  but if he wants one, he should have one.

Kind of a cute box it is.

Ugh, that totally sucks!!!!!!! Have yourself check out though, just in case. Stupid accidents like this happen all the time.

Two weeks ago I was swiped by a streetsweeper, while waiting for a red light. He simply didn't stop for me, nor for the red light. Whole side of the car dented and scratched, he stopped when my mirror gave way.

No injuries, just a ton of PITA wasted time as I have to get my car fixed again.

Well, crud. :icon9:

Bill Henry not quotable again...

Anyway, I'm sure he still likes his XBox as long as he can play games or watch TV on it. I still wonder why he was driving it...
