I am working on a project right now that has a fair amount of text in it. I have a Valiani which has a limited number of single line fonts and none of them are great IMO. I used to have a Wizard which had a few that were better, but still not a great selection. I am designing this with a TT font, but it traces the outside of the letters not the centerline so the text is open.

Does anyone have any free or reasonable cost single line fonts?

there are a bunch on one of the corel cd's as extras

the problem you will find its there are not that many single line fonts, as there are not that many variables to change in a single line, unlike a traditional font where when designing the font you can change thickness etc for example

as for doing searches for them, look for engravers fonts, lots of them are single line

you other option is running the board through a printer and printing the text

Or you can send it on over to a friend that does calligraphy....... :)

Converting a standard TT font to single-line is a time-consuming process, but I have done a few. What font do you need?

That job is done and picked up, so I really don't need anything in particular for a specific job. I just like to have some choices.

I did learn that if your doing a fair amount of text, don't use the Valiani design software as it really bogged down the computer trying to align a sentence of text. I will use Corel next time.

All along I've used Corel Draw for most of my special designs, especially with text, and still do. It's a powerful program and I'm comfortable with it. The V-Studio software is improving with each update and I'm sure they'll eventually work out all the bugs.
