Trying to find out more about the artist. I received it from my mother and it does not have any gallery tag. I havent been able to find out much online. Any help would be great. Thanks

My best guess is you have one of the "Starving Artist Sale" paintings. Chinese paintings sold in mass use generic American names for the artists. The frame appears to be one of the Mexican ready mades sold at these sales. Best guess is that it was purchased during the 80's and is the "Sofa Size" painting which would be 24x36.

I could be wrong but 32 years of experience tells me otherwise.

I agree with Jeff this is a production line painting, one guy does the sky, one the mountains, one the trees.

I'd bet you will find Hecho en Mexico stamped on the back of the frame as well.
